VTG Handsewn Quilt 8 Pt Star (70's Holly Hobbie fabric withFeedsack fabrics) Read
This a hand sewn 8 point Star Quilt, in Very very Good condition, with early American Greetings Holly Hobbie fabric used in the star designs. Usage of color and design is excellent. Other than the early 70's Holly Hobbie fabric, the rest is feed sack and other vintage fabric the maker saved over the years to construct it.
The backing is white muslin, and has small 10 per inch stitching. This was made in Yorktown Virginia, probably finished in the 1970's due to the Holly Hobbie fabric pieces. WASHED and air dried over several days and ready to go!! CAREFULLY Hand washed with Grandma's Linen wash and a bit of Oxy. Measurements are 70" X 84".
It is in very good used condition and clean; comes from a smoke free home, however a home with pets, but this is stored safely in a large Armoire Cabinet, Covered in a sleeve. Many people have complimented us on this quilt as we have displayed it every year on 4th of July years ago, .
But now it has been washed and stored and ready to move on! It is all hand quilted and hand sewn, and we came about this quilt in Yorktown, Virginia at a Charity House for Senior Citizens.
