Vtg Handmade Embroidered Quilt State Flowers 2 Pillow Cases Pink 69x 80 Full
Vintage Handmade Embroidered Quilt, Pink. 48 state flowers of the continental U. Quilt: 69 inches wide by 80 inches long. Pillows: not quite 13 square for a pillow form. With the ruffles these measure 19x19.
This quilt and pillowcase set came from an estate, and it looks like these were never or rarely used. These were probably made in the 1980s. The workmanship on both the embroidery and the hand quilting is outstanding and the quilt is heirloom quality. This is sized for a full (double) bed. If you have a larger bed, this will look beautiful layered on top of a larger bedspread or folded at the foot of the bed.
The only flaw I see is some dye bleed from the purple embroidery thread used on the Vermont flowers, which I did not attempt to treat. This was gently laundered with fragrance-free detergent in my smoke-free, pet-free home. Please view all photos as they are part of the description.
