Vtg Handmade Double Wedding Ring Quilt 86x98 Lace Applique Handsewn w Provenance

  

Beautiful vintage handmade quilt measuring approximately 98" long by 86" wide (full/queen, shown on a queen bed). Hand stitched, 4-6 stitches per inch.

Small minor stains throughout, several pictured. Nothing large, dark, or distracting. One quilt block is torn and lifted, but I don't see any other rips, tears, or holes.

Obviously the ranch was pet friendly, but this quilt is clean and free of pet hair. Quilt is heavier weight, weighing five and a half pounds. B oth the Hirschey and Eliel ranches are still in the family, running as full-time working cattle ranches today. The Hirschey ranch has been featured in several documentaries on the Big Hole valley and is known for continuing to put up hay the "old" way, with a beaverslide hay stacker, and they feed the cattle all winter with teams of draft horses off those hay stacks (far more reliable than a tractor when it's 40-below outside).
