Vtg Antique 1920-30s HANDMADE stunning YO YO QUILT 123x94 HUGE cal king 2 yoyos

  
This quilt was handmade by the family of a two time Emmy winning stylist. This is such a gorgeous piece!! Very hard to capture it's beauty with my camera. Very good (B+) vintage condition! Please see the "flaws" section below. Era = I believe that it is from sometime in the 1930's, however it could be as early as the 20's or as late as the 40's. Material = I think that many of the colorful yoyo's are from feedsacks.

The black ones are possibly some sort of cotton material. I also noticed that some of the black yoyo's are made from a more polyester feeling material, so they may have replaced damaged ones at some point.

Size = the quilt approximately measures 123 1/2" x 94". The quilt is modeled on a king size bed.

The bed is much higher than the standard bed & I didn't quite even out the quilt as it hangs much lower on the back side which you can't see. So on a normal height king or cal king bed the quilt may indeed fall all the way to the floor. You'll have the check how the measurements may work on your bed.

Yoyo Size = each yoyo is approximately 2 in diameter. The pictures where the yoyo. Flat are the back of the quilt whereas the pictures showing the gathered material are of the top side of the quilt. Although it is your preference as the quilt can be displayed either way. There is one slightly torn yo yo & two small sections (one is pictured) where the yoyo's have come apart at the seam.

This is a very minor simple fix. It's possible that there may be another loose yoyo or two.

It's such a large piece that I did my best to scan for any flaws. The two sections are all that I noticed, otherwise its quite secure! It also smells very musty, so could benefit from a cleaning/steaming.

I did not want to take the chance of doing it myself. This is an absolutely stunning piece!!! A lot of hard work went in to this quilt. All items come from a smoke-free environment. Please check out my other items.
