Vintage Parasol Ladies Antique Quilt, Unusual Zigzag Border
This BEAUTIFUL cotton 1940's - 1950's parasol ladies quilt is precisely machine appliqu. Ed and hand quilted, with hand embroidered accents, unusual appliqued circles in the background, and a zigzag border.
And is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. There are rainbow designs quilted throughout at 5-6 stitches to the inch. The quilt came out of Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
The back and hand stitched binding are solid green, and the batting is thin. The UNUSUALLY BUSY PATTERN and GREAT CONDITION make this vintage beauty stand out!
