Appears to be machine and hand quilted. Quilt is in the shape of an octagon. Background color of each quilt block is a light beige-on-beige marble blender fabric. Front background color is black on black floral. Backside background color is white on white floral.
There is a rod pocket on the back at the top for hanging. Each quilt block appears to have been made by a different person as some blocks have a person's name embroidered on it (I have blurred/crossed out some names on the photos to protect individuals' privacy, this only affects the photos, not the quilt).
The back of the quilt also has a fabric tag with a name and personal info (possibly a previous owner) safety pinned on. Each quilt block is unique and designed with various techniques, appliquéd 3D flowers, and fabrics and shows how much artistry and hard work went into them. Some flowers are puffy, some have beads, some dangle, some are folded, etc. Would be a wonderful quilt to wake up to or have a beautiful garden hanging on your wall. 99" length x 75" width.
Condition: appears to have been used as a quilt show quilt or wall hanging. Stains going all across the width of the quilt on the back, towards the top, possibly from being hung? There is a stain near the rod pocket.Marks in the front on one of the blocks. On some blocks you can see some faint drawing/tracing marks, likely the makers planning out their designs.
There may also be some minor surface dirt/marks but nothing major. On one of the quilt blocks with bulbous flowers, one flower has some broken threads and may need repair. There may be some loosened threads here and there and some small loose threads inside the quilt that are slightly visible through the fabric. Quilt by itself weighs around 5lbs.
