Vintage hand Sewn Applique 1930's/40's folk art Quilt

  
Amazing folk art piece for your bed! Shades of cherry red and rose red splash across this romantic hand sewn applique quilt of rose petals and pale green leaves. What makes this quilt unique and charming is the use of red thread instead of using white lends to a folk art feel.

I estimate the quilt was made in the 30's. The quilt is scalloped along the edges. Binding is excellent, with just one small area of loss in picture. The SPI is 6 to 7. A soft medium weight quilt.

Displayed on my double bed. Condition is very good per age of quilt.

I only found 1 spot (doesn't look like a stain) took next to a penny. On the front I noticed barely there, small areas of discoloration pointed out in pictures with a ruler (I believe these will lift with a good soak in the machine with Oxy clean). Also, only on backside, a couple fabric fails which small repairs can make good as new. The photos of this extraordinary quilt do not do it justice!
