Vintage Feed Sack Quilt Honeycomb Hexagon Handmade Hand Stitched. This is mostly 1930s-1940s feedsack fabrics. It may have been crafted as late as the 50s, however. It was beautifully done and is clean, without staining, or odors.
However, there are a few hexagons (approx 10 total) missing entirely, and one edge of the blanket needs to be rebound or stitched closed. All edges are frayed, and rebinding is suggested for the entire blanket. The blanket is 2 sided, with a red and white gingham check on the edge of the hex design, and some kind of wool or cotton batting liner. The bottom is one panel of fabric and depicts sweet pastel animals on a pale yellow background. This fits a twin sized bed, best. Measuring: 55" W x 80" L. This is really a beautiful piece, and with a little restoration, could be enjoyed for decades to come.
