It's going to be hard for me to let this one go. It's such a joyous profusion of boisterous floral patterns. The panels are relatively large, likely chosen from left over lengths from past projects. No two patterns repeat and they seem to have been placed according to wherever the leftover length fit best, including a small stripe of plain kelly green used to extend one of the panels.
The fabrics are all roughly the same drapery weight; Many are cotton, one or two are cotton blend and one or two are pure synthetic. The feel of the synthetic fabrics was most helpful is dating this piece to the late 1960s. This quilt has been well loved. The white sheeting backing has softened it's color to a warm cream and shows a few faded discolorations through the years. There are no discolorations on the front, but there are a few areas of simple wear, as shown in the last photo. Someone loved it and used it every day. Overall measurement is 60 inches by 80 inches, so it is perfect for the extra quilt in the bedroom, or the throw for your favorite movie night sofa.
