I have been collecting quilts for 40 years. None of our children or grandchildren are interested in them, so we have decided to sell some of those that we arent using.
Please study the pictures as they are parts of the description and ask if you have questions. Perhaps the funkiest quilt I have ever owned; it is somewhat reminiscent of a crazy quilt. It features 8 point stars made of feed sacks interspersed with burgundy squares.Oddly, the stars have alternating pieced and non-pieced points. The quilt is both hand pieced and hand quilted, and has a label on the back stating that it was made in 1942 and is wool lined. It measures approximately 80 X 88 and is displayed on a double bed. Although the overall feel is sturdy, there is wear to the binding and I spotted one piece of fabric that has torn.
There is also some foxing throughout. The item "Vintage Antique 8 Point Pieced Star Handmade Hand Quilted Quilt Feed Sack FUNKY" is in sale since Tuesday, August 25, 2020.
