Vintage 70s 80s Flying Geese Hand Stitched Rustic Cabin Patchwork Quilt Queen

  
Shown displayed on a queen size bed and it's a good fit. This 1970's / 80's era vintage quilt was lovingly restored, adding a hand stitched trim across all the solid patches. It's a lovely tonal effect, almost like an ombre print. The patches are all small ditzy calico florals, similar to the type of prints you see in the classic Gunne Sax dresses. The color scheme is dark and dramatic, lending nicely to a cabin or cottage with lots of exposed beams and hardwood floors.

It's more on the rugged side of the quilt spectrum, pairing nicely with plaids, chambrays and denims for a log cabin in the woods aesthetic. What makes this special: The hand stitching trim and visible mending adds a true heirloom feel to it. I have this paired in photos with a Ralph Lauren blue and white print bed skirt, and it's a nice contrasting piece that would pair nicely in a monochrome room. Colors: shades of mauve, seafoam green, baby blue, white, navy blue, and rust.
