Reversible Quilt/Eiderdown Vintage Laura Ashley Glazed Cotton Beads Pillowcases

  

Handmade by me this beautiful one of a kind reversible quilted eiderdown style cover with 2 matching standard decorative pillowcases. The quilt is made using 1980's vintage yet new Laura Ashley glazed cotton fabric in gorgeous shades of purple lilac and beige/light taupe double hollyhock flowers and carnations. The other side is a new cotton blend fabric in purple and white spotted. Finished off with Laura Ashley two tone bead trim and hand made suffolk puffs on both sides.

This is my modern interpretation of the beautiful vintage eiderdowns of yesteryear and rather than feathers this has been filled with a brand new 4.5 tog polyester quilt cut to fit prior to stitching. Regular washing isn't reccommended and therefore the pillowcases are best used for decoration teamed with other washable bedding. 70" x 44" without trim. Shown here on top of a king sized bed but would decorate a double or single bed too.

As with the original vintage eiderdowns they are made to fit the top of the bed rather than overhang. Can also be used in the living room kept close at hand to snuggle under on chilly evenings.
