C 1850s Crown Thorns EAGLE Applique Quilt Signed Indigo Red Americana. A rare to find quilt with crown of thorns pattern and framed with eagles. Fabrics in turkey red and indigo blue..... Initialed by the maker along the edges in applique.

Measures 84 x 82 inches. Hand quilted at 8 stitches per inch. The applique is hand sewn. The binding is hand sewn. Age/other spotting tanning, surface wear and some holes go through, color lift to red, but indigo is nice. A special pattern to add to your collection.
