King Size Chain Stitch Quilt/ Vintage Floral Blanket/ Handmade 1970s Bedding/ Grandmas House/ Heavy Blanket/ Pink and Green. This is a STUNNING chain stitch, embroidered king size quilt.
Perfect for the cold winter nights! This was hand made in the 70s, individually stitched... Then crewdly added to a quilt backing. I DO believe this backing could be better stitched on. I think this was done by a separate hand. The colors are bright pink and green with a maroon backing and yellowish details. There are no holes or tears in this blanket.This blanket has been loved in the past and is faded exactly where the sun from a large window would have hit it. The non-faded edges (see images) are bright pink and green. The faded areas are still beautiful, but have turned into a more bubble gum pink and mintish green. There is a crude stitch to hold the embroidery onto the quilt backing.
It's doing its job... But it's not beautiful!!
I think this could easily be fixed either by hand or with a sewing machine. Otherwise, there are no holes or tears in this piece!
