Handmade Vintage Pink/Green Postage Stamp Trip Around The World Quilt (Queen)

  

Pattern: Trip Around The World Size: 82x 96, fits Queen, Full, Double. On a Twin size bed there will be 10"overhang at both the head and foot, and 20"overhang on each side.

Hand pieced of hundreds of 1 1/4 vibrant pink, green, blue, purple, red, magenta squares in wonderful turn of the century patterns. Pink, yellow-striped, and green borders of contemporary cottons, machine pieced, were added later.

Quilt top appears to be 100pct vintage cottons. Batting/Backing: low loft poly batting. Yellow/pink cotton solid backing Loft: 3/16 Hand quilting: off-white traditional quilting thread.

Each main square is embellished with Valdani 12wt thread. Machine wash cool and tumble dry, only wash as needed.

As with all vintage quilts, the hand stitching can unravel over time or develop holes, but is secure at the moment. Should provide years of use.
