Handmade beautiful vintage chenille quilt. Large enough for a lap quilt or a decorative quilt for baby's room. Made from lovely coral, peach and pink chenille squares harvested from chenille bedspreads from the 40's, 50's and 60's. It was made to be durable and timeless. American craftsmanship and ingenuity went into producing world class fabric in the 1920's through the 1970's. Impossible to replicate the durability of vintage chenille with modern fabric content and the need to make it cheaper and faster then the original.

Give your loved one a chance to really enjoy the craftsmanship of vintage chenille. The beautiful colors of the chenille squares are complemented with premium quilting cotton fabric, embellished with lace and hand embroidered hearts and flowers on cotton eyelet.

Each square is backed by white muslin to prevent the chenille from stretching and to give added life to the fabric. Polyester batting is used between the layers of the quilt for added warmth. With moderate care, you will have this quilt to pass to the next generation. Machine wash and dry, gentle cycle, cold water with mild detergent or soap. Press with a hot iron except the lace, if necessary.

It is recommended that babies under 12 months not be covered with a blanket when sleeping. A child should be able to turn over, front to back and back to front before using a blanket.
