Antique Vtg Crazy Patch Parlor Throw Quilt by Camilla Gertrude Patterson Brumley. Eldon and Tuscumbia in Miller County, Missouri (thru 1942). Ceres, Stanislaus County, California (thru 1994). Gertrude made over 100 quilts during her lifetime.
One of her quilts was displayed at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D. As part of the American Bicentennial celebration.
This crazy patch quilt has immaculate herringbone stitching. The fabric pieces are different materials. Some are silk and cotton. This is a beautiful piece of art that comes with the history behind the maker. Approx size is 72" x 94". There are some holes and rips in fabric as can be expected from a quilt this age.
