Antique Hand Stitched YO-YO QUILT 84 x 106 Vintage Handmade Never Used
Vintage Never used Yo Yo Quilt kept in a Hope Chest size is 84 X 106 believed to be approx 50+ years old. Hand stitched and a variety of Floral design. Scalloped edging all around the complete quilt. The first four photos show the top of the Quilt and the other four show the backing of the quilt. The measurements are 84 width by 106 length. Single yo-yo's with gathering on front of each yo-yo and flat on back of quilt. There are 32 yo-yo's across and 40 down. This yo-yo quilt has shown the quality of the handiwork that was part of Americas beginnings. There are 1280 single yo-yo's in this quilt. These photos show the comparison of the front and back! The top yo-yo's are gathered while the bottoms are flat! Varied colors that would compliment any decor. Painstakingly crafted from a colorful assortment of scrappy floral prints and bold patterns, this antique American Yo-Yo quilt is a graphic work of art that has undeniable modern charm and quality of hand work.
Bright Oranges, Soft pinks, blues, all the colors in a rainbow, Purples, brown and cool tones expertly placed as shown. Random pattern and color sequences emerge from the beautifully intermingled Yo Yo roundels in true Patchwork fashion. The variety and strong color of the coordinating prints create a dazzling visual effect that embodies all the traits of this American handcraft.
