Antique early 1860's patchwork quilt with embroidery. Blue and tan colored fabrics with embroidered flowers in random areas of the quilt. All pieced and quilted by hand. Early brown fabrics did not survive well through the years, so it is really rare to find a quilt with any of the brown fabrics intact.

The brown fabrics will literally "eat" themselves and deteriorate. This quilt has small holes in the brown fabric back. There are some repaired areas as well. Some fraying on the edges.
