I'm far from being an expert on vintage quilts, so I have consulted with someone who knows quilts, makes them, and belongs to a quilting society. She is not expert enough or registered, such to give a verbal or written appraisal, but here's what she told me. The various fabrics are recognizable from Sears catalogs of the era. The stitching is consistent with the era. The condition is fair to-good because it has a couple of frayed/torn areas.
Please to refer to photos for these two areas. However, the overall condition is otherwise very good and clean. I've also tried to educate myself thru the internet via Google and other sales sites that display vintage quilts. If you have any information you feel would be helpful, please let me know. The antique store where I found it, assured me it was an authentic Depression Era Quilt, but I have no means of proving any of this. It has never been used, but rather stored waiting to be handed down to the next generation.
