ANTIQUE 1940'S HAND MADE DIAMOND PATTERN COTTON QUILT. DATING TO THE 1940'S. THIS PIECE WAS ACQUIRED FROM ITS ORIGINAL ESTATE. I BELIEVE IT WAS STARTED AS A QUILT TOP IN THE 1930'S AND THE BEAUTIFUL BACKING IS FROM THE EARLY 1940'S. THE QUILT IS SEWN BY BOTH MACHINE AND HAND AND FEATURES A VARIETY OF COTTONS THAT DATE FROM THE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY TO THE 1930'S.

THERE IS CHECK, INDIGO, A VARIETY OF CALICO COTTONS AND STRIPES WITH ONE OF THE BEST FABRICS BEING AN ANCHOR PATTERN BLUE COTTON AS WELL AS A PINK SUNBURST VICTORIAN. WHITE COTTON STRING TIES RUN THROUGHOUT. ONLY MILD AGE COLOR SEEN FROM ESTATE STORAGE, NO SIGNS OF USE, NO WEAKNESS, NO FRAYS.
