AMAZING Vintage 1860s Indigo Blue & White Carpenter's Wheel Stars Antique Quilt! This GORGEOUS cotton 1860's indigo blue and white carpenter's wheel quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a nice vine border. The pattern is also known as star of the east, circle saw, broken stars, and morning star.

It measures 72" X 90" and is in excellent washed condition, with the occasional age spot (see photos) and no wear. The quilting is SUPERB, with quilting around the piecework and in elaborate feathered, pinwheel, grid, and other designs in the background, all at an even 9-10 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is indigo, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
