1930s STRIKING Brides Bouquet Quilt
1930s STRIKING Brides Bouquet Quilt. This listing is for a vintage Brides Bouquet quilt. Judging by the fabrics used, I would estimate the quilt to be from the 1930's. It measures approximately 83" X 101". The Brides Bouquet blocks are approximately 14 1/2" X 14 1/2".
They are set on point so are approximately 20 1/4 tall. The setting blocks are sunny yellow and the binding is seafoam green. As best as I can determine, it was handpieced. The quilting was done by hand and stitches average 14 stitches per inch, counting both the top and bottom stitches. I have seen no holes or worn areas.
Apparently, the batting was pieced and there is a small section that has no batting. It does not show on the front of the quilt and quilting stitches in that area are just through the top and backing. There are a few very small spots that I have not tried to clean.
