Vintage Handmade Zig Zag Quilt with Feed Sack Triangles Colorful 74x80. Gorgeous, colorful & cheery feed sack era quilt. The zig zags are composed of triangles in feed sack era prints and the large squares are primarily light green.

Very little wear, but some fading. Overall, a joy to look at! NOTE: I just hand washed this quilt so it would be clean for you! Please read the whole description and look at all the photos and zoom in, as they are considered part of the description. NOTE: Thimbles are used to help point out condition issues and are not included.

Multicolors with a light green print background. About 74"x80" full or queen depending how you turn it. All hand quilted at 5 stitches per inch. Zigzag lines spaced an inch or less apart. The binding is a self-binding. It is the back fabric brought around to the front and hand stitched. Quilt Back: Natural white cotton fabric.

Shown on a queen bed. Some fabrics and sections have significant fading (see the top half of photo 10 for an example), but most are bright with little fading. I washed this quilt, but some stains remain, larger yellowish areas like shown at the bottom half of photo 10. Difficult to notice other stains on the front. I captured most of the stains I saw on the back of the quilt in photo 11.

I did not find any holes. I only noticed 1 fabric bleed to the back (see photo 11) but there may be other minor color bleed. None noted, no wear noticed. Batting Shift: Some batting shift, but fairly densely quilted. I love antique and vintage quilts!

I love the era they are from, they are comforting, and beautiful. I went overboard in collecting them and need to downsize my collection. I gently hand washed this quilt with Orvus quilt soap in my oversized laundry tub that I only use for cleaning vintage and antique fabrics.

I let the quilt air dry flat on a bed of towels. I invite you to look at my other quilt listings.
