Colors: Cream/off White & Greens, Teal etc. Provenance: This quilt was handmade by my grandmother 50 years ago in the midwest. I do know it took her many years to complete. I know for a fact, much of the needle work is not machine. I do not know to what extent she used her machine to assemble.
Im certain a quilt expert can take a closer look and determine. It has been stored for years in a cedar chest. It was never displayed or used as a bedspread on a bed. It was stored folded but refolded frequently.I do not see any rips, tears or stains. I did notice when inspecting, it has 3 tiny black spots on the underside. (See photo) They are hardly noticeable & probably can be removed with proper quilt care if desired. Im hoping to re home this exceptional work of art, to a person that appreciates the craft and will treasure it for years to come. Please contact me anytime with your questions.
