Gorgeous vintage / antique patchwork quilt double bedspread made of fine, good quality cotton, in hues of blues, greens and pink, with the hexagonal patches individually padded. The quality of the craftwork and the fabric and patterns are typical of the 1940s to early 1950s period. However a very faded blank makers label attached to one corner could also suggest a slightly later date possibly by a creator such as Laura Ashley that would have used traditional patterns, craft methods and material.

However this is impossible to verify. Backed with white cotton with stitching detail. Condition: Generally in great condition for its age and previous use.

There is a very faint watermark on the backing which is really hard to photograph. Also a couple of the quilt patches will need restitching and re-padding, see pics. The quilt was laundered a while ago and as it has been stored for a few months it will need airing.
