New USA Handmade Full Size Quilt- Star Patchwork 70 x 92-From Vintage Top
Beautiful new Full size, Handmade Quilt. It is made in a Star patchwork pattern (cotton fabrics). It is 70" by 92". The top is a vintage, hand-stitched piece that I recently quilted. Back - new red & cream floral fabric(cotton).
I machine quilted it on a long-arm quilter using an 80/20 cotton/poly batting. The quilting pattern is a an all-over Feather Swirl design. The top of this quilt was hand-stitched (needle & thread), so everything doesn't line up perfectly!
The right column of blocks is especially out of alignment. I'm estimating that the top is from the 1950's - 60's, from the fabrics used.
Because of it's age, it does have a few tiny spots - see the next to last picture. They are nothing major, but wanted to point them out. This is a great example of traditional American quilting! Machine washable and dryable - recommend cold water wash.
I recommend a color catcher sheet be used for the first couple of washings. It is a hand-made, one-of-a-kind quilt.
