Antique/Vintage Handmade Red & White Feathered Star Snowflake Quilt 74x75 GC
Stunning Antique/Vintage Handmade Red & White Feathered Star Snowflake Quilt with Saw Tooth Border. 74x75 Good vintage used condition. It may be antique or very vintage. All expertly hand stitched and hand quilted at 8 stitches per inch. Zoom in on photos to see details. There is overall wear to the red, but not to the point of fraying.
It reminds me of a pair of well worn jeans. NOTE: This quilt is in found condition with barely noticeable surface dirt. Please read the whole description and look at all the photos and zoom in, as they are considered part of the description. NOTE: Thimbles are used to help point out condition issues and are not included. Unsure; Guessing at early 1900s.
Colors: Red & natural white. All hand pieced with tiny even stitches. All hand quilted at 8 stitches per inch. Web design in center squares. The binding is all applied by hand! It is not faded or worn.Quilt Back: Natural white cotton fabric. Shown on a queen bed. Overall wear as stated above, but fabric is not fraying. The red is faded, but still beautiful in my opinion.
1 stain on back (photo 11), 2 tiny green dots (photos 11 & 12), 1 light yellow stain (photo11). There may be a few other light stains that I missed. I did not find any holes. Other: A few loose threads.
I love antique and vintage quilts! I love the era they are from, they are comforting, and beautiful. I went overboard in collecting them and need to downsize my collection. I invite you to look at my other quilt listings.
